{Holman Family} Utah Family Photographer
Posted on January 19, 2010
We actually did these photos before Christmas, but I wanted to make sure that the Holman family got their chance to win a free 8×10!
I have decided that one of the hardest parts about being a photographer is finding great locations. The location we originally wanted fell through at the last minute, but luckily we were able to find somewhere fun! The Holman’s are a gorgeous family and were so much fun!
Please leave a comment for the Holman’s – 25 comments gets them a free 8×10!

Meet Preston – 9 days old for his photoshoot. I have decided that getting their picture taken must be quite exciting for these newborns, because here is another one that didn’t want to go to sleep for us! We got a few sleepy pictures, but even when he was awake, he still looked super cute!! I used to work with Preston’s mom, so I was very excited to be able to take Preston’s pictures.
Help Preston win a free 8×10 by commenting. He only needs 25 comments to get a free print!

2010 Pricing
Posted on January 5, 2010
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year! I took some time off here on the website, but now I am ready to get back into the swing of things.
So to start things off, I’ll first announce my new pricing for 2010. I am still building my portfolio, so I have decided to continue to offer reduced rates for all of 2010. The session fee has gone up, but it now includes 15 digital files. For the complete pricing list, click here.
Since I’m itching to get my camera out, I’m offering a killer deal for any sessions that are booked and paid for in January. The session doesn’t have to take place in January, but it must be completed by June 30, 2010. Get 75% off of my regular session price. That means for $75, you get the session covered and 15 digital files! If you are thinking of updating your family photos this year, if you are expecting a child, or if you just want to capture your children at this stage in their life, this is the perfect time to book! This offer would also be perfect for anyone graduating in 2010 that hasn’t done their senior photos yet. Just remember, the session must be booked and paid for by January 31st! Call or email to take advantage of this special.

These newborn shoots are getting dangerous – every time I see or hold one of these little ones, it makes me want another baby!
McCoy was such a good little guy. I usually plan on at least 2 hours for a newborn shoot because it usually takes some time to get them to sleep. This one was only just over an hour because he cooperated so well for me! Such a good little guy – I’m so happy I got to meet him!
Leave a comment - 25 or more comments earns McCoy’s parents a free 8×12.

What a beautiful family!! I actually should have posted these pictures on here awhile ago since their session took place almost a month ago. They already have their copies, but I wanted to give them a chance to win an 8×10, and have a chance to show off their pictures to their family and friends! 25 or more comments gets them a free 8×10!

Lily was one week old when I got to finally meet her. She was a late comer – coming 1 week after her due date. The doctors thought she would be over 10 pounds, so a C-section was scheduled. Well, she was barely over 7 pounds, but she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck 3 times, so it was a blessing in disguise the the doctors were wrong about her weight and that she arrived by C-section!
Lily didn’t want to sleep for us. After about 2 hours and lots of awake photos, I decided to pack up and come back another day. And of course, right then she fell asleep! I managed to get about 4 minutes of her sleeping, but I’m so grateful for those 4 minutes, because those are some of my favorite shots!
Help make Lily’s parent’s day by commenting – they need at least 25 comments to get a free 8×10!

{Younger Family} Utah Family Photographer

I’ve “known” Stephanie for a couple of years now. We are both food bloggers who have been involved in many of the same projects. But this was the first time that we had ever met face to face, even though we live so close together! It was so nice to meet her and her family – I felt like I was taking photos of a friend. And you’ll probably want to check out her food blog – Stephanie’s Kitchen. I love it!
You know the game – 25 or more comments on this post and the Younger family gets to chose a free 8×10!

I am quickly finding out that these 1 year cake smash pictures are my favorite to take. There is just something about watching a child dig into their first birthday cake. With the last cake smash, the little guy dug right in and tore the cake apart in seconds. But Asher was a lot more thoughtful about his cake. He would only take little tastes of the frosting until finally mom and dad convinced him that he wanted to eat more! We were also able to take some other pictures of him before he made a mess in his cake. Happy first birthday, Asher!
Comment away – Asher’s parents will get a free 8×10 if they get 25 or more comments!

{Sydney, Kirra & Finn} Utah Children’s Photographer

You will probably remember Finn from his 1 year cake smash not long ago. I was so happy to be able to capture him along with his 2 older sisters this time! We had a fun time playing in their backyard, and although Finn wasn’t much into the photo taking after the first few minutes, Sydney and Kirra gave me their best smiles!
And starting with these cuties, if I get at least 25 comments on this post, their mom will receive a free 8×10! So comment away!

And the winner is…

Holly Hanks!!
Congrats, Holly. I look forward to our session together!
And I do have to apologize for how quiet it has been around here lately. There has been a job lost, a new job gained, and sickness all around our household that has kept me pretty occupied. But I do have a few sessions to post about, so look forward to a new post or two this week. And in the meantime, here’s a little sneak peek from a recent session – since I just can’t do a post without a picture!
